Where Have I Been?

I have been away for a while. The only decorating I have done has been by this little 14 month old. There are toys in every room. My dining room chair has been made into a high chair, my guest room into a nursery, and our office into a make shift maternity ward. Why? My daughter, who is expecting in June, is on bed rest. That makes me, nurse, babysitter, cook, maid, laundress, and many other things. I will be back when all calms down. Got to run now. Naptime is over and the day is just starting!!!!!

ahhh...the joys of being a grandmother are endless!! We have 10 but seldom have them all at the same time. Family vacations are a blast because of so many young ones, keeping us olden ones on our toes. And ...backs! Usually after time with so many young bodies, I end up "on my back" for a nice long nap!! :))

Best luck to your daughter...hope she come thru this with flying colors and a brand new HEALTHY baby girl.

Hi Arkie...

I know it's a LOT of work caring for your daughter and grandson, but how wonderful of you to care for them. It would be awfully difficult for a mommy on bedrest to care for a toddler so she's really lucky to have you. What a blessing.........and, even though it's keeping you VERY busy, I know you wouldn't have it any other way.....treasured time with your family.

Hugs,
Spencer

Oh you are such a wonderful Grandma!
And your grandson sure is a cutie pie :)

I was on bedrest with my youngest for 9 weeks and I couldn't have survived without my mother-in-law. (we had a 4 year old and a 1 year old at the time. yikes!)

Bless you as you take care of them!
Wishing you and your daughter all the best!

Hi Arkie!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog earlier today. It's very nice to "meet" you and thanks for the compliments. : ) I love sharing my little gifts on my blog, it's so fun. I LOVE seeing everyone else's creativity as well.

So, did I read that you married your high school sweetheart 36 years ago?!! That is so wonderful! Honestly, it blessed me to read that. My high school sweetheart hubby and I will be celebrating 3 years the 30th this month. It feels like they've flown somedays and...well...other days feel longer, haha!

How blessed your daughter is to have you during this season in her pregnancy. And even more so, how blessed are those grand babies to have you?! Enjoy them! I truly wish my mom could have enjoyed my son before she passed. In heaven one day though, right my friend? We'll be with our Savior and all of our friends and family. What a day that will be! Amen!!

I'm a happy new follower, too : ) Bless you!
Love, Laura
